Earlier this week the ACGL platform sprang back into action, and since our relaunch we have been overwhelmed with the amount of positive feedback we have received. On that note, we would like to thank each and everyone one of you for registering and signing up with the AGCL family, we are looking forward to bringing you even more regular tournaments, leagues and events in 2019.

Before we get into an outline of the year ahead, we wanted to note that today is a very special day as we celebrate over 10,000 users signing up on our platform. We’re growing every day and excited to keep doing so with the community by our side.

Without further delay, let’s get into the broad online offering that we will be bringing to the respective communities on our platform.

Seasons are back!

The 2019 calendar year will be divided into three seasons:

  • Season 1: 7 January - 31 March
  • Season 2: April - 31 July
  • Season 3: August - 31 October

In this article we breakdown what you can expect from Season 1 with a small hint at Season 2.

Season 1 - Breakdown

The first season marks the kick off of the year for our weekly online tournaments for Call of Duty, Fighting and Fortnite communities. These tournaments will reward player participation and placement via the ACGL XP system.

At the end of each tournament, players will be awarded XP and their ranks will automatically be updated on the respective title leaderboards.

At the end of each season, players ranks will be calculated and displayed on their profile. We will additionally be rewarding players based on their ranks at the end of each season, more details of prizes will follow in a separate article.

Rankings will be awarded as follows at the end of each season.

  • Elite (Top 5% of players)
  • Gold (Top 15%, excluding Elite)
  • Silver (Top 35%, excluding Gold)
  • Bronze (Top 60%, excluding Silver),

Tested over the holiday period, we are pleased to announce the return of the XP Scrim ladders

The new ladders will allow you to use your XP earned in other tournaments on the site. This will be a way to prove you're better than others in direct competition and win additional XP to ensure you continuously improve your seeding in upcoming tournaments. Putting XP on the line is completely optional.

You can expect the XP ladders to launch on the 21st of January.

We have always had a passion for running FIFA competitions over the years, but were unfortunately rather restricted last year in our activities, which was due to in-game issues with connectivity.

In 2019, we are happy to announce that we are going to be back with FIFA 19. We have opted to approach 2019 with a League play model, with tournaments being reserved primarily for events.

More details on the first Season of the ACGL FIFA 19 League are on their way, so watch this space.

Last year we were pleasantly surprised with the turnout from the Rainbow Six Siege community and believe that we have the capacity to help the community grow even further.

We are happy to confirm that we will be running a League for all three platforms (PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) where registration will open on the 21st of January.

Additionally, we will be looking to broadcast League matches and request that shoutcasters and streamers get hold of us via the ACGL R6 Siege Discord Server.

We know you are all itching for more details, and you can expect them to be announced before registrations are open.

During 2018 we poured our hearts into the Rocket League community and we felt the love right back. While we may have removed weekly tournaments off of the site, that is far from the end of our offering.

We have some specials plans that are currently still being finalized, so don’t worry we will be back with more.

We have been working tirelessly to bring something to the League of Legends community that they have wanted for a very long time.

A little later in January, you will find out exactly what that is.

We are introducing a brand new ladder in 2019 - Proving Grounds.

Proving Grounds are our way of testing the waters with new titles/communities. Teams/players can register and play against one another in competitive scrims and rank up on the platform. We will use Proving Grounds Ladders as a base to test if the community participation is significant enough to run tournaments, events or leagues.

Our first title that we will be running a Proving Grounds Ladder for is Call of Duty: Black Ops4 (PC). The ladder will open on the 21st of January.

For, now that's a basic breakdown of what you can expect for Season 1 from the ACGL family. We will follow up with more title-specific information in the weeks to come. We can, however, give you a heads-up that Season 2 will be all about League Play where broadcasts will be one of the key focuses.
