This past weekend saw the culmination of May's Debonairs Pizza Cup for Fortnite. The top eight players from our ladders joined forces with eight streamers to compete for the R10,000 cash up for grabs.

The eight teams battled in a double elimination kill race until just two were standing and ready to battle for the lion's share of the prize pool.

In the end it was the qualifying ladder's first seed Warrior -_- and his streaming partner Hutchie that secured first place, remaining undefeated in the bracket.

The final standings after the playoffs were:

  • 1st Place: Hutchie + Warrior [R5,000]
  • 2nd Place: Dons Playz + Gogabee [R3,000]
  • 3rd Place:  Vinx + Deuz [R1,500]
  • 4th place:  GlennZA + Goatyy [R500]
  • 5th - 6th place:  Grant + ASqueaker | Julia Robson + Edie
  • 7th - 8th place:  Samplayze + Casq | Dianne + TactixKoas

THE VOTES WERE COUNTED

Supporters and spectators had the opportunity to vote for the team they thought would secure the win. In doing so, they stood to win their share of Debonairs Pizza vouchers. 29 votes were cast for the team of Hutchie and Warrior. The randomly drawn winners from that group will be contacted during the course of the next 24 hours with their voucher codes. Thank you for supporting the event and tuning in to the streams.
